Generative AI for Roblox could be the accelerator here that Meta’s Horizon Worlds efforts have so far lacked. All throughout this year, Salesforce has been eager to show how rapidly and robustly it’s adopting generative AI — AI that can generate new content based on prompts and simple user inputs. It launched a conversational CRM tool, Einstein GPT, in partnership with OpenAI, in May.
There’s a great video clip — we’re not going to claim when we will achieve this — on Westworld, where there’s a text-based interaction of 3D creation. And we do think that’s the product vision, where developers will have all tools at their disposal. In May 2022, Microsoft demonstrated a way to control characters in Minecraft by feeding naturally phrased instructions to a code-writing AI that accessed the game’s application programming interface. This is similar to what Roblox is doing but involves using AI coding to change not just game creation but gameplay itself. Microsoft was the first to harness the latest generation of AI for coding, through a deal with OpenAI, which has adapted a general purpose language technology called GPT to power a code generator called Codex.
Salesforce Launches AI Assistant Across its Apps
Despite all that labor, almost $20B of revenue is lost by U.S. hospitals annually due to coding errors, which has led to a cottage industry of local consulting firms that help providers “discover” missing revenue.
